Your Words Are Mathematically Safe.
CipherWrite uses zero-knowledge encryption to ensure that nobody — not hackers, not governments, not even us — can read your writing.
Client-Side Encryption
All encryption happens on your device using AES-256 before data is transmitted. Your plaintext never leaves your machine.
Zero-Knowledge Architecture
Your encryption key is derived from your password using PBKDF2. CipherWrite never has access to your key or your unencrypted data.
No Data Harvesting
We do not scan, analyze, or mine your writing for advertising, analytics, or AI training. Your words are not a product.
Breach Resilience
If our servers were compromised, attackers would find only encrypted blobs. Without your password-derived key, your data is unreadable.
No Tracking or Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. Your browsing behavior on CipherWrite is private.
Open Security Methodology
Our encryption methodology follows established cryptographic standards. We are transparent about how we protect your data.
How It Works
- 1You type your words in CipherWrite's editor. Everything stays in your browser's memory.
- 2When saving, your password generates a unique encryption key using PBKDF2 — this key never leaves your device.
- 3Your text is encrypted with AES-256 on your device. Only the encrypted blob is transmitted to our servers.
- 4On another device, you enter your password → the same key is regenerated → your text is decrypted locally. We never see it.
